Sioned is an artist who is originally from Cardiff but has lived in Gwynedd for over 40 years.
My Art
My name is Sioned Glyn. I live in Bangor. I was born in Gorseinon and grew up in Cardiff. I have lived in Gwynedd for over 40 years. I am interested in all different types of art especially Celtic Calligraphy. I'm also interested in recording place names in Wales. I strongly believe that it's important for us to remember the original names of our towns, mountains and rivers in our country.
I have worked on a number of different themes over the years, to name a few... Words of Sympathy, Welsh Sayings, Wales Coastal Path, Welsh Mountains, Towns and Villages. In addition to this I have mapped 32 areas and counties of Wales ending with one large map of the whole of Wales. For many years I have received various commissions to create works for all kinds of occasions. My main inspiration is my Country and its landscape.
